NEW SERVICES | Eyelash Lift & Tints

Lately I have felt the need to do more, and be more successful. For a long time I knew I wanted to add more services to “Hayley Dawn Beauty” but didn’t know where to start. Hair cuts and colors might be in the future but I wanted to add something NOW. Knowing myself, I knew I wouldn’t have the patience to be an eyelash extension technician so I did my research and decided to enroll myself in the next best thing…

I am so very excited to announce that I am officially a certified eyelash lift and tint technician!

What is a lash lift?

A lash lift is a procedure that is done to curl the eyelashes, achieved using a series of gentle treatments to attain a natural looking curl and lift to your natural lashes.

Benefits from an eyelash lift?

This process is used to change the texture and structure of your natural lashes. A lash lift is a great way to add length without the hassle of extensions. Less maintenance and it lasts between 6-8 weeks.

What is a lash tint?

Eyelash tint is a form of hair dye developed for specific use on the eyelashes.

Benefits from an eyelash tint?

Eyelash tinting produces a similar effect to mascara. It visibly lengthens, darkens and thickens the appearance of your natural lashes without smudging or rubbing off.

Full Face of Affordable Products | Favorite Drugstore Makeup Products

A lot of us know that makeup can be expensive. Shop at Sephora and your bill can rack up pretty quickly… That’s why I’m here to share with you my favorite drugstore and affordable makeup products that I use. From face, eyes and lips, these are my favorite products.

Starting off with the face. My personal favorite foundation from the drugstore is the Maybelline Fit-Me foundation. They have an amazing color range and have a foundation for each skin-type, from oily to dry skin. I personally use the Matte finish.

Since I discovered the NYX HD Wand Concealer I haven’t used another drugstore concealer. I would say it’s similar to the Mac Pro Longwear concealer. It is medium-full coverage and the shade “porcelain” is the perfect shade for me. (It’s also great to use as an eye primer).

To set my base in place to ensure it lasts all day I like to finish it off with the Rimmell London Stay Matte Pressed Powder. Using the shade “transparent”, it adds a little bit of coverage and doesn’t oxidize on my skin.  It keeps my t-zone matte, doesn’t make my foundation cakey and creates a flawless look.

Finding a good affordable blush and bronzer was key for me. They’re one of my favorite makeup products that I use daily. The NYX Matte Bronzer has been one of my favorite products lately. The formula is super pigmented and blends out so well. For blush, LA Girl recently came out with 16 different shades and they are all amazing with a mixture of matte and some with a sheen. My personal favorite is the shade “just playful”.

It can be hard to find a good, affordable eye shadow formula but Morphe Brushes has nailed it. Their products can’t be found in the drugstore but their prices are great! They have so many eye shadow palettes with a variety of colors. Their formula is creamy, pigmented and blends like a dream.

Eyebrows are a major feature to the face. They frame the face and can transform every face shape. The NYX Micro Brow Pencil is a great dupe for the Anastasia Beverly Hills. The product glides on smoothly and the brush on the back blends it out for a soft look.

Last but not least… LIPS! It’s safe to say I have found my holy grail lip product. I’m not one to wear lipstick often but when I do this is what I’m wearing. Believe it or not it’s a lip liner. The True Fiction Lip Liner Pencils are amazing! They’re super creamy and stay on the lips for such a long time. The shade “nude” is my perfect every-day lip color.

So, there you have it. My favorite affordable makeup products. Hope you are able to try some out and enjoy them as much as I do. Thank you for the read! Until next time.

I wanted to share with you a few products that I have been loving lately. So here they are:

I have recently switched up my skin care routine and have been very happy with the outcome. I have sensitive-combination skin and wasn’t happy with what I was using before, so did my research and came across these two products.

Whether it was my friends or people on the internet, everyone seemed to be obsessing with Philosophy’s Purity 3-in-1 Cleanser. Since picking up this product I have been loving how fresh and clean my face feels after each use and have noticed how much my skin has cleared up. Other than the occasional “time of the month” break-out, the texture on my forehead has disappeared and I haven’t had many extra blemishes.

I’ve always had bad experiences with face moisturizers. I found they would always break me out, add texture to my face and/or cause my face to become too oily. That being said, since I have been using the First Aid Beauty’s Repair Cream I have had nothing but a good experience. It has helped out my dry patches and hasn’t broken me out, knock on wood.

Being a huge fan of Jen Atkin, celebrity hairstylist, I have wanted to try some products from her professional hair care line, Ouai.

These two products have given my hair life. I have been on the hunt for a hair product to give my flat hair volume without the dirty texture that most dry shampoo do. After some research, I came across the Dry Shampoo Foam. At first, I didn’t like the idea of putting a mousse in my dry hair but so i’m glad I did. This product gives my hair a nice lift without it feeling dirty and dries up any oils that I might have after a day… or two… Which is exactly what I wanted!

As for the Texturizing Hair Spray, I am so happy I came across this product in the Sephora line-up. Literally. I was in line one day waiting to purchase some items and came across the travel size Texturizing Hair Spray, sprayed a little in my left over curls from that day and right away knew it was a product I wanted. I don’t usually use hairspray in my hair but I love the way this product adds texture and holds my hair throughout the day.

I feel like everyone and their mother owns this next product, but I finally caved and purchased it.

I’ve been admiring the berry-neutral tones the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance eye shadow palette has and am surprised I hadn’t bought it sooner. I love how buttery and smooth the eye shadows are and how well they blend out. Not to mention how pigmented it is! Very pleased with this palette and happy I finally found the perfect pink eye shadows.

Last but not least! My all-time favorite foundation.

I have re-purchased this foundation multiple times, so it’s safe to say that the Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation is my favorite. I’ve been back to wearing it almost every day. I love how long lasting this foundation is. It can last through a long day at work, a night out or a hot summer day. It’s light weight on the skin, full coverage and not drying. Love, love, love it!
